Packed with nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables, this green juice recipe is an antioxidant powerhouse. If you are suffering from inflammation, juicing is a great way to reduce the inflammation in your body. Juicing provides a myriad of health benefits that can keep our bodies healthy.

Benefits Of Juicing

Reduces Inflammation

Juicing provides the body with a concentrated source of antioxidants found real in fruits and vegetables.

Improves Hydration

Juices are a hydrating option, especially when made with water-rich fruits and vegetables. Staying hydrated is crucial for various bodily functions, including digestion, circulation, and temperature regulation.

Supports Digestive Health

Juicing removes the fiber from fruits and vegetables, making it easier for the body to absorb nutrients. This can be beneficial for individuals with digestive issues or those who have difficulty digesting fiber.

Is Rich in Antioxidants

Fruits and vegetables are rich in antioxidants that help combat oxidative stress in the body. Antioxidants play a role in reducing inflammation and protecting cells from damage.

Helps Support Detoxification

Juicing is sometimes associated with detoxification, as it is believed to help the body eliminate toxins. However, the body has its own natural detoxification processes, and more research is needed to fully understand the role of juicing in detoxification.

Juicing Methods

  1. Centrifugal Juicers:
    • How They Work: These juicers use a fast-spinning blade to chop up the fruits and vegetables and a mesh filter to separate the juice from the pulp.
    • Pros: Quick and efficient, suitable for a wide range of fruits and vegetables.
    • Cons: The high speed generates heat, which can potentially degrade some nutrients. Juice may have a shorter shelf life and may contain less fiber.
  2. Masticating Juicers (Cold Press or Slow Juicers):
    • How They Work: Masticating juicers use a slow-turning auger to crush and press fruits and vegetables, extracting juice without generating much heat.
    • Pros: Preserves more nutrients due to the slower process. Can handle leafy greens and herbs well. Juice tends to have a longer shelf life.
    • Cons: Slower compared to centrifugal juicers. Generally more expensive.
  3. Blender Juicing
    • How It Works: Instead of separating juice from pulp, blending retains the whole fruit or vegetable, creating a thick, smooth beverage.
    • Pros: Retains fiber, providing a more filling drink. Easier to clean than some juicers.
    • Cons: Produces a thicker drink, not a clear juice. May be less suitable for some recipes.

We love cold press juicers. My favorite juicer is the Nama Juicer. It is a cold press juicer which I prefer to preserve more of the nutrients. This brand is an investment but in my opinion so worth it if you juice often. And it is the easiest juicer to clean! If you know anything about juicers, most people do not bother with them because cleaning them can be very difficult.

I am not affiliated with them in any way. I am just a VERY happy customer.
